I was surprised a month and a half ago when Raif asked me when the pending applications were going to get looked at.

I told him “in April.”

He said… “it IS April!”

…you don’t sleep?

Excellent question!

Consequences include:
- Depression
- Hypertension
- Irritability
- Slowed reaction times
- Heart disease
- Weakened immune system
- Impaired decision-making abilities
- Tremors
- Hallucinations
- Slurred speech
- Memory loss
- Loss of creativity/cyclic thinking
- Dizzyness
- Nausea
- Muscular pain
- Weight gain
- Reduced healing ability
- Stunted growth
- Inability to manage emotions
- Reduced learning ability
- Increased chances of diabetes, heart attacks, and strokes

and, my favorite,

- Death.

After three days of being awake (discounting microsleep), most people are considered psychotic. Studies just coming out suggest that it is impossible to catch up on a massive sleep deficit.

I’m an insomniac. I sleep an average of 2-4 hours a night and I am frequently awake for multiple days at a time. It sucks. When you’re sleep deprived, it is impossible to completely de-stress. I’ve acquired a massive caffeine addiction and can’t go a day without coffee before going into withdrawal. Don’t fall prey to the “not sleeping is cool!” mentality that many people have… it’s not worth it. Take a night off from WoW and hit the sack an hour early.

I love guitar. I am a classically trained professional musician (guitar and voice).

However.

Classical guitar requires one special thing to play: fingernails. What does this mean? This means I have creepy-stalker nails on my right hand and absolutely none on my left. Now, since that wasn’t bad enough, I also break nails while playing, because of the golpe (Span. “strike”), or the percussive tapping of the nails while playing. So how do I prevent this from happening? I get metro. Yes, folks, I have special guitarist nail glue that I brush on and cover with PMMA [that's Poly(methyl methacrylate), or plexiglass)] powder and seal shut with more glue. I love the music, so it’s totally worth it, but having fingernails is a complete bitch.

Saturday Night Live (SNL), known for classics such as the Blues Brothers and the Cowbell Skit, is making a comeback. Leading the charge is the group known as The Lonely Island: Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone. TLI plus guests and random cast members write, direct, film, and edit the Shorts with normal people cameras and computers.

If somehow you’ve managed to miss these, you’re in for a ride.

Starting these off was the sensational SNL rap “Lazy Sunday” (One f-bomb, edited out)

Complete with an Emmy was “Dick in a Box.” NBC allowed it to be released on youtube only if edited from the TV version.

The non-musical ones aren’t nearly as funny, but as an example here’s “Meeting.”

Back to the funny, we have the classic Natalie Portman rap. It’s probably more funny with the bleeps… the original is not at all SFW.

“Jizz In My Pants” turned into an overnight sensation. Ask Arc about this, I’m sure he can explain better.

And finally, the lastest musical Digital Short… “I’m On a Boat” (ft. T-Pain). This one was unusual in that it was released completely uncensored. NNNNNSFW.

If you like the music, their album “Incredibad” is now in stores.

I have a question about pears. They always either seem to taste delicious as hell or disgusting as hell. There seems to be no middle ground. Can anyone explain that? The one I’m eating now tastes like wood…

I love mornings. When I finish something and realize that it’s silent, I usually check the time. If it’s 3-6 AM, I can’t help but go out for a while. Nothing moves for hours.

Maybe I’m just a damn hippy.

People who walk slowly piss the hell out of me. If you have a limp or a cane or whatever, fine, otherwise you can do better than one mile/hour. Also, if somebody is walking faster than you are, LET THEM PASS YOU.
